I will be purchasing the iPhone 3G whenever it becomes available and I have a friend who is interested in my original iPhone, but only as a music player. I imagine I will be transferring my SIM to the new phone or, at the very least, it would become an "unregistered" Sim. I understand that when the card is ejected or unregistered there is a message displayed on the screen and it destroys all the phone and data options, but can it still be used as an iPod while in this condition? ________________ unlock iphone 3g
